Caramel Apple Cookies

All the flavor of a caramel apple packed inside a neat cookie package. Well, not too neat. There is that gooey, sticky center to deal with.


Ingredients
  • 2 sticks Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 box (10 packets) Spiced Apple Cider Instant Drink Mix
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • Caramel candies

 

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Cream together butter, sugar, salt and all 10 packets of apple cider mix. Mix until batter becomes whipped or kind of “fluffy.”

I wasn't in the mood for Valentines but when I made this tart I  cut some hearts to cover the tart and think was nice to Valentines. BTW you can make some leaves to or use other cutter shape. Adapted from Good Housekeeping Ingredients pastry 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 10 tablespoon butter cut up and very cold 8 to 10   tablespoon  ice water Filling  3 cups frozen blackberries  2/3 cup granulated sugar 2  or 3 ripe pears peeled, cored and chopped 1/4 cup cornstarch 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest pinch of salt 1 egg yolk 2 tablespoon cream or milk Pastry In a bowl mix flour and salt until combined.
